2. Stay Details (The “When”)
Your staff needs exact dates to check room availability.
- Date Picker (Check-in Date): Set to Required.
- Date Picker (Check-out Date): Set to Required.
Pro-Tip: In Forminator’s date picker settings, you can set the “Minimum Date” to “Today.” This prevents users from accidentally trying to book a date in the past!
3. Room Requirements (The “What”)
- Select / Dropdown (Room Type): Set to Required. Add your specific rooms here (e.g., Standard Room, Executive Suite, Family Room).
- Number Field (Number of Guests): Set to Required. You can set a minimum of 1 and a maximum based on your largest room capacity.
4. The “Optional” Fields
Never make every single field required. Give the guest space to ask questions without forcing them.
- Text Area (Special Requests / Notes): Set to Optional. (e.g., “Need a ground floor room,” “Late check-in at 11 PM,” or “Anniversary decoration”).
